BLANTYRE--Lovebirds Junia from Namibia and Kenyan Malonza were on Sunday evicted from the Big Brother Stargame contest, leaving the competition wide open with no possible winner of the $300,000 in sight so far.
The two originally came from the Downville house. They reconnected in Upville after Downville was closed down. Junia was the first to leave Downville for Upville.
But on Sunday, the first to be evicted was Malonza, who had been replaced by Head of House Keegan. Malonza wasn’t on the original list of housemates nominated for possible eviction.
When presenter IK announced his name, after Keegan had mentioned that he’d saved himself and put Malonza on the chopping block, Junia started crying for her lover.
She kept on crying until the housemates escorted Malonza out of the house.
"I saw it coming," Malonza told IK, saying he didn’t have hard against his best mate Keegan for replacing him.
On their love affair with Junia, Malonza said the "main component is friendship."
"We’re both single," Junia said about her affair in with house with Malonza, but was elusive where asked whether their love affair would continue outside the house.
"Maybe it might..who knows," she simply said.
On Monday, there will be nominations for possible eviction, IK said.
Malawi’s Wati and Zambia's Talia were immuned from eviction on Sunday, but their immunity is over and on Monday they could also be nominated.
The BBA Stargame ends on July 29.
