BLANTYRE—A cool-looking Keagan of South Africa was Sunday declared winner of the $300, 000 Big Brother Stargame.
“In 2012, it will recorded that the winner of Big Brother Stargame is Keagan,” presenter IK announced.
His runner-up was Prezzo from Kenya who was popularly known as “The President” by his fans.
Keagan came from Downville House while Prezzo was originally from Upville which was made up of celebrities. Prezzo is a rapper.
Malawi’s hopeful Wati was the first to be booted out Sunday. After Wati it was Kyle from Uganda, Talia from Zambia and Lady May from Namibia and then the big announcement came declaring Keagan the winner.
Keagan said there was no magic to winning this contest. One, he said, has “to be yourself.” He went on to thank everybody for their support.
Prezzo, who according to IK was dressed like a “true president” thanked God and his fans for keeping him in the house up to the finals.
This is the first time a South African has won in the history of the Big Brother contest as previous ones were won mostly by Nigerians.
Prezzo has been appointed ambassador for ONE Campaign which among other things fights to end hunger.
And after 91 days in the house, Wati, who would get drunk like a skunk, said he was going to have a good time and try to make money after the contest.
The Sunday event was a glittering affair with top Nigerian artists Naeto and D’banj performing at the Johannesburg arena.
