BLANTYRE--Malawian number one musician Lucius Banda, the self-styled 'soldier of the Poor Man', is out of hospital.
Banda told maravipost.com in an exclusive interview he was now fit as a fiddle.
"I'm out of hospital now, I'm fine," Banda said in a telephone interview Tuesday.
The musician, famous for hard-hitting songs since the one-party regime of Hastings Kamuzu Banda, through Bakili Muluzi to Bingu wa Mutharika, however, said he was still in Johannesburg fulfilling some businesses.
"I came out of hospital yesterday (Monday) and I was supposed to fly back to Malawi tomorrow (Wednesday) but I have a few things to fulfil," he said.
Banda, 42, left Malawi over the weekend to perform at a wedding in Johannesburg but developed high-blood pressure on the plane. He was taken straight to a hospital in Johanesburg.
