Don't be childish just tell people what God has for them, Malawi prophets told

BLANTYRE--One of the Malawi’s leading motivational speakers, Henry Kachaje, has described the common parlance “Can I prophesy or go deeper man of God” among men of God as childish and immature.
Speaking during the launch of a five-year Entrepreneurship Revolution program in Malawi commercial capital Blantyre, Executive Director of Business Consult Africa (BCA) Henry Kachaje argued that Old Testament prophets were just delivering messages from God without asking “can I prophesy” as it is common today in the country.
“It is childish, immature for one to be asking people, 'Can I prophesy?' Why don't you just tell people what God has bestowed upon?
“There is no way man of God should be asking such childish question. It is not biblical, it’s childish,” said Kachaje, attracting ululations and cheering from the patrons who came to witness the launch of the program.
He didn't single out anyone but the can-I-prophesy and go-deeper-man-of-God is common with one Lilongwe based church.
However, the BCA boss faulted some pastors for not telling their followers the truth especially on how to create wealth.
“King Solomon, in his book of Proverbs, states that where there is no vision, the people perish,” said Kachaje.
He also bemoaned absence of government officials at the function, saying it was a clear indication that government isn't committed to uplifting the welfare of Malawians.
“We invited officials from Trade and Industry ministry apparently they are busy with other things. We will go on with the launching ceremony because the program is for entrepreneurs.
“It appears everybody is busy at the ministry, they are bargaining for aid,” said Kachaje, adding that he can to call it as it is.
BCA’s five-year Entrepreneurship Revolution program seeks to organize, train, mentor, coach, inspire, motivate and support 200,000 entrepreneurs, both existing and potential, to help them establish, develop and grow their own businesses, each with the potential of creating five jobs on average, and collectively creating 1,000,000 jobs by December 31, 2017.
