Airtel ‘Yabooka’ making usage cheaper

LILONGWE--Mobile telecommunications giant Airtel intends to reduce its calling rates under a promotion they are calling Yabooka which can loosely be translated as too easy or cheap.

The new rates will see customers paying as low as K5 per minute which will see prices fall from K51.26/K59.26 to K24.60/K32.81, according to the company’s publicist Edith Tsirizani.

Talking and data bundles have also been reduced. It was 5am to 11pm peak which will now be 7am to 10pm for talking. For data it was from 11pm to 5am peak but now it will be from 10pm to 7am.
