BLANTYRE--Next month's African Union summit has been moved to Ethiopia after Malawi, which was supposed to host it, refused to welcome Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir who is wanted on war crimes by the Hague-based International Criminal Court, Agence France Press (AFP) quoted an AU official on Monday.
"The summit was supposed to be held in Malawi but now it has been changed. It will be held in headquarters in Addis Ababa," Ferdinand Montcho, who is chairman of the AU's permanent representatives committee, told reporters.
