BLANTYRE--Did detained rights activist, politician and lawyer Ralph Kasambara want to sodomise thugs ambused by his security detail when they wanted to petrol-bomb his office?
 
No, says his lawyer friend Kita Wapona, trashing remarks made by Information Minister Patricia Kaliati to this effect.
 
Now, an obviously angry Kasambara is demanding K60 million from the minister for defaming him, as Kita said the remarks "really disappointed Kasambara being a lawyer and a well-known person that he should be thought to do such a thing."

In remarks made to Zodiak Radio, Kita said: "It’s an allegation that has damaged his reputation and he has instructed us to take the matter to court for defamation.

"We have already written a letter that we should be compensated with K60 million. If she does not, then we will sue for  defamation."

Kita is a partner in the firm Ralph and Arnolds.
