Two Malawi clerics who bootlegged bibles, hymn books nabbed

BLANTYRE--Two Malawi clerics have been nabbed by police after they were allegedly found pirating bibles and hymn books of Claim Mabuku.

Police told the Weekend Times that James Kazembe, 32, of Goshen Believers and Peter Dick, 34, of Pentecost Church of Christ were found with fake 'Nyimbo za Mulungu' hymns and bibles they sold in Blantyre and Mulanje.

The two were arrested in the company of Copyright Society of Malawi (Cosoma) officials in Mulanje, where they had received a tip-off of their clandestine venture.

The two clerics are said to have confessed to their illicit undertakings.
