40 Malawians to use K308m on Pres Joyce Banda's UN trip
BLANTYRE--Some 40 Malawians, including the president herself Joyce Banda, will use K308 million for the trip to the United Nations General Assembly, after the delegates pocketed $280 each per day for allowances.
The Nation reported that the delegates will spend two weeks in the USA.
Banda left Malawi on Saturday to deliver her maiden speech at this important world assembly of leaders.
She is expected back on October 2.
