Mbelwa: Dead North alive! Thank Joyce Banda by voting for Beza

PP-Donate-Bike-to-ChiefMZIMBA--The People in Mzimba Central Constituency will on 9 October, 2012 vote for the ruling People’s Party candidate Aram Mdala Wedson Beza as a thank you to Pres Joyce Banda for appointing its son to be Malawi’s vice president.

Inkosi ya Makosi Mbelwa made the remarks at Mtende Primary School at Euthini in Mzimba where Vice President Khumbo Kachali launched a campaign for the bye-elections which will be the first competitive election since the PP formed government five months ago.

“The President has removed the myth of a dead North. The number one development that has been there is to appoint a Vice President from this region. We are happy and we as Ngoni’s who know how to say thank you for any good tiding, say thank you by giving the President an MP,” said the Paramount Chief.

Treasurer General for the PP Harry Mkandawire said by appointing Kachali, the President had opened doors to all future generations that it is possible to have a Vice President from any part of the country.

“What the President did is not less than a miracle for this region. This means that future generations and Children that will come from this region can hope that they too can rise and be part of leadership of this Country. The President has ended a culture of tribalism, sheer hatred and jealousy. She has given Malawi a new spirit and renewed the hope of Northern Region that they are equal in Malawi,” said Mkandawire.

Campaign Manager for the bye-elections Ralph Kasambara said the PP was ready for a smart campaign that will deliver 99.9 percent of the vote to the Peoples Party.

Vice Pres Khumbo Kachali said the PP had only one candidate in the name of Beza and despite some independents claiming to be his relations, the truth was that the candidate chosen by the people was the official candidate that has the blessings of himself and the president.
