Indian man arrested for conducting business illegally

LILONGWE--A man of Indian origin has been arrested for staying in the country illegally and conducting business without permit.

Lilongwe police Public Relations Officer Kingsley Dandaula said the man Said Abus, 28, was arrested on Monday at Bwalolanjobvu in Area 2 where he was found selling second hand clothes without a business permit.

“We have handed over the case to the department of Immigration where the accused person will soon appear in court to answer charges” he said.

Dandaula urged the general public to report people they suspect of being in the country illegally.
