BLANTYRE--With barely a week before the students at College of Medicine sit for their end of year examinations, no water can be seen dropping from the taps.

The cafeteria is having problems preparing meals and toilets are a big mess. Students have been leaving the campus to access water elsewhere.

If the situation doesn’t improve, many students fear they will not do well in their finals.

The water shortage follows a strike by staff at Blantyre Water Board.
