BLANTYRE--Men and women of God often skip to discuss or debate sex at the pulpit or even elsewhere.

But one Linly Mbeta, a popular evangelist recently called a spade a spade, saying couples or families should enjoy sex.

"Satisfy each other in bed and avoid having sex outside marriage," Mbeta, director of her own Chingonjetso Women's Ministry based in Mbayani, one of Blantyre's sprawling shanty towns, was quoted saying by the Weekend Times at a motivational talk at her ministry.

"What is the problem? Wives, let us enjoy sex with our husbands, let us enjoy sex with our wives. Agree, if one wants more rounds, then go for it and in that way we won't see husbands or wives enjoying sex outside," she said.

Sex topics are still considered taboo in conservative Malawi.
