BLANTYRE—You want to get something that doesn’t belong to you and you know where to get it and you go for it.
Mabvuto Banda, 18, from Liwonde in Machinga district went ahead with his plan and hit Liwonde Marine Police Offices, according to police.
Banda is alleged to have stolen from there radio equipment worth K140,000.
According to the Malawi News Agency, Police at Machinga Boma confirmed the arrest of Banda who stays at Chinamwali in Zomba.
“He entered the Marine office after removing window panes and stole two wireless radios used for police communication,” said Machinga Police Public relations officer, Constable Martin Tione.
Two of the stolen radios have been recovered and Banda will appear before court soon to answer theft and burglary charges.
