MZUZU--After serving as the spokesman for the late president Bingu wa Mutharika, Dr Hetherwick Ntaba has made his next move and submitted an application to the Medical Council of Malawi to resume practicing as a doctor.
Ntaba is currently undergoing orientation at Kamuzu Central Hospital (KCH) which is a requirement for medical personnel who haven't been practicing for more than five years.
Ntaba was the personal physician of Malawi's first president Dr. Kamuzu Banda. He was later on hired by former president Bakili Muluzi to be a physician of his late mother before being appointed by Mutharika to be his spokesman.
In the picture published with this story, Dr. Ntaba, in medical gear, welcomes Deputy Health Minister Halima Daudi who accompanied a UNDP official to appreciate the work of UN volunteers at KCH.
