BLANTYRE--Jackson Boyisi, 38, is a Machinga man who agreed with his wife one thing: Sex with his sister-in-law okay if Boyisi wanted a child.

But the sister-in-law was a minor, 15. She got pregnant after sex with Boyisi and her parents cried foul.

Boyisi was arrested and charged for defilement, a serious charge in Malawi that carries more than seven years imprisonment.

Machinga police publicist Martin Tione told Malawi News Agency that according to a statement by Boyisi, he’d been married to his wife for two years but there was no child.

The couple then struck an accord: The hubby could have sex with his wife’s sister for the purpose of having a baby.

It was Boyisi's mother-in-law who took the matter to police.
