BLANTYRE—One of the early pioneers of Television Malawi (TVM), Rehana Surtee Nyamilandu-Manda, has died.
Rehana died at an Adventist hospital Thursday, sources said but the cause of death wasn’t disclosed.
Sources said she was estranged from her husband, Football Association of Malawi president, Walter Nyamilandu. The couple had two children together.
At the time of her death, Rehana was TVM's public relations officer. She was one of the first news anchors at TVM when it was launched in 1999.
Details on her funeral and burial service are yet to be announced.
