LILONGWE—Malawi police have arrested former state house press officer Chikumbutso Mtumodzi on suspicion of keeping an offensive firearm and a toy gun.
Police Spokesperson Dave Chingwalu said Mtumodzi was found with a police issued bayonet and an AK-47 toy gun.
Lilongwe Chief Executive Kelvin Mmangisa has also been arrested on allegation that he pocketed allowances for trip to Italy he didn’t make, Chingwalu said.

LILONGWE—Malawi police have arrested former state house press officer Chikumbutso Mtumodzi on suspicion of keeping an offensive firearm and a toy gun. Police Spokesperson Dave Chingwalu said Mtumodzi was found with a police issued bayonet and an AK-47 toy gun.
