PREVIEWLILONGWE--The overall performance of Bullests FC also known as the People’s Team in TNM Super League has been mediocre - they are in sixth position. But is there anyone who would argue against their stunning form in the cup games.
There are few teams that have done well in cup matches as Bullets. They are in the finals of the Presidential Cup and after receiving overwhelming support from their fans, they were voted to compete in the Standard Bank Cup.
You can’t talk about Bullets’ dazzling few performances in cup matches without talking about Gabadinho Mhango.
The diminutive 17-year-old player scored seven goals in three appearances! As if that wasn’t enough, he has also already scored four goals in two Standard Bank Cup games.
True Gadadinho has done a lot for the People’s Team. The team can’t solely rely on him to deliver them in the long run.
It’s been seven years since Bullets won any serious cup. If they are hungry for one, then they need to pull up their socks as they prepare to face Moyale Barracks in the Presidential Cup finals this weekend.
Beating the soldiers from Kaning’ina isn’t going to be easy. A different Moyale always shows up for cup matches. They never give up and fight all the way to the end.
While Bullets need to have Gaba in top form in this game, the whole team must play well as well if they expect to win this match.
