ORANGE 2013 AFCON
IN a story published on website starafrica.com, Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan says he is ready and fully fit for crucial Orange 2013 AFCON qualifier game against Malawi.
Ghana hosts the Flames of Malawi this Saturday in the first leg final round matches with the return leg to come up in October.
Beating Malawi on both legs might prove tough but Gyan who recently put an end to a six-month self-imposed ban believes it will be a great test to him a team mates.
“I appreciate that (pressure),” Gyan said. “Its teamwork, I work for the team, I make sure I do my job,” Gyan told the Ghana FA website.
“Football is played by 22 people and I have played for the Black Stars since 2003 and I have done my best for the team.
“I do appreciate what people are saying. It doesn’t put pressure on me. Talking about football, we got ups and downs. “If you can go through all this things then you are ready to play at any time, in front of the crowds and everybody,” the Al Ain striker said.
