LILONGWE--The 2012/13 TNM Super League transfer window will re-open on September 28 and close on October 12, 2012, the Super League of Malawi (Sulom) has announced.

Making the announcement at the weekend, Sulom general secretary Williams Banda urged clubs to be professional in handling player transfers.

“We are re-opening the transfer window for a period of two weeks starting from September 28 up to October 12, 2012. During this period, we expect clubs to handle and conclude all player transfer issues before we go into the second round.

“We urge all the teams to be professional when handling player transfers. Players too must exercise discipline, when moving from one club to another. We do not want to see officials getting players from other teams without discussing with owners of the players likewise, no player should move from one club to another without seeking consent from his present club,” advised Banda.

According to the Sulom general secretary, the league’s second round is expected to kick off mid October after a one month recess.

The first round ended on Sunday, September 16, 2012 and Lilongwe based Silver Strikers have emerged the best team of the first round, having accumulated 31 points from 14 games.
