FAM president Nyamilandu injured in fatal accident, wife dies on the spot

LILONGWE--Football Association of Malawi (FAM) president Walter Nyamilandu and three other officials survived a fatal accident in which his wife died on the spot as the car they were travelling in overturned at Phalula on the Blantyre-Lilongwe M1 Road.
Details of the accident were scanty, but reports indicate that they were travelling to Lilongwe for the Bullets-Wanderers K20 million Standard Bank Knockout Trophy semi-final derby this Saturday afternoon.
Nyamilandu, who lost his first wife, TV personality Rehana in December last year, was admitted to Mwaiwathu Private Hospital in Blantyre where he was receiving treatment for the injuries he sustained in the accident.
