MZUZU--In a thrilling encounter at Silver Stadium on Saturday, high flying Mighty Wanderers aka Nomads booked itself a ticket to the finals of the K20 million Standard Bank Knock-out Cup after outclassing Big Bullets 5-4 in post match penalties.
The match ended 1-1 at full regulation time. Bullets were first to score through Diverson Mlozi in the 38th Minute before Cutherbert Sinitre scored in the 83rd minute sending the game into penalties.
During the penalty shoot-outs, boy-wonder Joseph Kamwendo scored the winning goal of the game before Wanderers goalkeeper Richard Chipuwa saved Bullets George Nyirenda's penalty.
The victory means that Mighty Wanderers will meet in the finals the winner between Silver Strikers and Civo United, a game which will be played tomorrow at the same venue, Silver Strikers Stadium in the capital Lilongwe.
