BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-The Super League of Malawi (SULOM) assured all bonafide soccer-loving Malawians that the TNM Super League match between Mighty Mukuru Wanderers and FCB Nyasa Big Bullets will be played at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre today’s Saturday, July 1, 2023.
The match is between Goliath and David crossing swords with the best team of the day to win and the bad loser of the day going home with sad faces making player number 12 speak at the top of their voice, that things are not good on the ground.
The clash of the giants is coming at a time when Mighty Mukuru Wanderers supporters are not happy with the standard of play being displayed by their team in what prompted the supporters twice to block their players from boarding their bus telling them to walk on foot to their homes.
FCB Big Bullets will come into the field of play to win as per the claims of many of its supporters that Bullets is a winning side come rain or sunshine but in a game of football, one should expect the impossible to be possible, all players must play to the last whistle.
In a statement released by SULOM dated June 28, 2023, signed by its General Secretary Williams Banda, the SULOM says it will provide adequate security including Police, Stewards, and Private Security companies.
The SULOM says no spectators shall be allowed entry into the stadium carrying alcoholic drinks and to go beyond the barricades in the open stands warning all that will be going into the stadium that appropriate action including arrest shall be effected on anyone attempting to go beyond the barricades.
“All the measures are aimed at reducing congestion, facilitating smooth entry into the stadium, and ensuring that there is a safe and secure stadium environment for all,’’ reads part of the statement.
