LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The road to the TNM Superleague in the Central Region Chipiku Premier division gets tougher as the second round comes to an end on Sunday December 18, 2022.
Exciting final fixtures in the league have been outlined for peoples disposal in the region.
Kamuzu Barracks RSV FC host group B leaders Extreme FC at Kamuzu Barracks sports complex, Ngwanje FC who have failed to honor good number of away fixtures entertain Kawinga FC at Ntchisi Community ground while group A leaders Silver Strikers RSV FC will battle it out with Mbabvi United FC at Maliri ground.
St Gabriel Medicals FC host Airborne Rangers FC at Namitondo ground in Namitete.
The top three teams from the two groups will battle for the supremacy of the 2022 Chipiku Premier Division and of course for elite league slot.
Waliranji based side Extreme FC on Wednesday defeated LUANAR FC 4-1 at home to ascend on the top in group B with 19 points from 9 games.
LUANAR FC are second with 17 points from 10 games,Support Battalion FC are third with 15 points from 10 games while Kawinga FC are on position 4 with 12 points from 9 games, Kamuzu Barracks RSV FC are tied on 12 points with Kawinga FC on position 5 due to goal difference.
Ngwanje FC anchor the group with 2 points from 9 games.
Silver Strikers RSV FC lead group A with 19 points from 9 games.
They are seconded by Wimbe United FC with 17 points from 10 games,on position 3 are Mbabvi United FC with 15 points from 9 games.
But they have chances to change the log table if they can win their last game against table leader the Young Central Bankers.
Airborne Rangers FC who had brilliant performance in the first round of the league are on position 4 with 13 points.
If they win their last games, will have 16 points and can dislodge Mbabvi on third position if they fail to win today.
St Gabriel Medicals FC and Villa FC are occupying positions 5 and 6 with 12 points and 3 points respectively from 9 and 10 games played so far.
St Gabriel Medicals FC have chances to finish with top 3 if they win the last game with more goals, as they will be at par with Mbabvi United FC on 15 points.
Villa FC, Airborne Rangers FC,Ngwanje FC and Kawinga FC who had good first round have struggled in this round and their over floating boats have sunk their dreams of qualifying into the TNM Superleague are now shuttered.
The 2022 MK15.5 million Chipiku Premier Division League is anticipated to end before the end December.
The 2021 runners up Extreme FC, LUANAR FC, Silver Strikers RSV FC, Support Battalion FC, Wimbe United FC and Mbabvi United FC are likely to contest in the final round looking at how they are standing on the tables.
