LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The Central Region Chipiku Premier Division League rookies, Santhe ADMARC FC from Kasungu, on Monday, June 26, shocked Mighty Tigers FC by booting them out of the FDH Bank Cup in the round of 32 following a 3-1 victory in post match penalties after regulation time ended 1-1 at Civo Stadium.

In a thrilling encounter on Monday the 2022 CRFA UNAYO division one league champions trailed by a goal to nil through Precious Chipungu’ early strike however the rookies leveled the matters through Wellington Mkandawire’s own goal from Gift Mashoni shot before the end of the first half at 35th minute.

The rookies then contained Tigers FC as they played with their lungs out for the FDH money.

The fate for the two sides was then decided through post match penalties, Jason Yosophati,Stephano Nkhoma and Chisomo Smart converted their kicks for Santhe while Yona Mjogo got his kick saved.

Frank Chikufenji was the only player who successfully used FDH digital transaction while Precious Chiudza and Alex Kambirinya got their kicks saved and Iven Mwendepeka hit the woodwork.

Santhe ADMARC FC who plays in the Central region Football Association Chipiku Premier division league are the first team to produce a shocking result defeating TNM Superleague side in the round of 32 in this year’s edition.

Twelve teams have been granted FDH Bank loans as they sail through into the next round.

The 12 teams including FCB Nyasa Big Bullets FC, Mighty Mukuru Wanderers FC, Silver Strikers FC, Extreme FC, Blue Eagles FC, Balaka FC,MAFCO FC,Moyale Barracks FC, Kamuzu Barracks FC, Bangwe All Stars FC, Santhe ADMARC FC and Ekwendeni Hammers FC.
