LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-ICS Africa is set to host the first ever Corporate Shared Value (CSV) Conference and Awards on November 14, 2024, at BICC in Lilongwe.
This groundbreaking event will unite business leaders, policymakers, and experts to explore how companies in Malawi can align their strategies with the nation’s development vision, Malawi2063.
According to ICS Head of Operations Spencer Mulenga ,the event will be a two part program, conference in the morning and awards in the evening.
He said the conference will focus on Corporate Shared Value (CSV) a business approach that goes beyond traditional Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
“While CSR often emphasizes philanthropy, CSV integrates social impact directly into a company’s core strategy, leveraging its expertise and resources to create measurable benefits for both business and society,” said Mulenga
“By adopting CSV, companies can enhance competitiveness while driving sustainable development in their communities,” he added
He further highlighted the importance of this shift in an interview by pointing out that CSV is vital for promoting sustainable development in Malawi.
