Sankhani alleges that the duo’s efforts have been in vain to get support from the party leadership “,Efforts to meet the party president on the matter have yieded nothing as we have been blocked”.

Namalomba has however asked the victims to complain to the state, which has the constitutional obligation to safeguard life and property.
“We don’t know anything about this. Send me a copy of their demand. By the way, why did they not go to the Police and complain so that whoever
destroyed their vehicles is arrested and gets to restore their damaged properties? DPP does not run an insurance cover for its supporters,” said Namalomba.
Recently, Minister of Homeland Security Zikhale Ng’oma said DPP victims did not complain to the police in line with Mbowe fracas after police apprehended six over Chakwera convoy fracas in Chikwawa.
