LILONGWE (Maravipost) Former minister of Civic Education, Who is also former Human Rights Defenders coalition Leader, Timothy Mtambo, dismissed social media reports of him apologizing to Democratic Progressive Party DPP leader Arthur Peter Mutharika, attributing the claims as cheap propaganda.
In an interview with Maravipost on Monday, 22 September, Mtambo said he is focusing on the future of AFORD which is ready to collaborate with all political parties.
“I have no time for childish and cheap propaganda. As Aford we are focused into the future and we are going to collaborate with all political parties who are ready to liberate Malawians from the sufferings they are currently facing,” said Mtambo.
He said AFORD’s agenda is to liberate Malawians, and no amount of propaganda will stop them.
He then clarifies that moment that seemed he shook hands with Chisale, and at the request of the attendees, they exchanged caps. Chisale’s cap bore the initials “APM,” while Mtambo’s cap represented Aford, which is democracy in action, not what people are cooking up.
DPP also refute the claims through the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Shadrek Namalomba in a letter.:
