BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-The Malawi University of Business Applied Sciences (MUBAS) DPP wing has refuted Allegations that some of its members have defected from the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) to support expelled member Kondwani Nankhumwa in his bid to form his own party.
However, the MUBAS executive has quickly stepped in to refute these rumors, stating that none of its registered members have defected to Nankhumwa as alleged by circulating reports.
In a press release signed by Sheila Mpoya, the chairperson of the MUBAS DPP wing, and Chikwesya Mwapasa, an executive member, it was made clear that the allegations of 58 DPP MUBAS members defecting to Nankhumwa are baseless.
According to the press release, those individuals are not registered members of the MUBAS DPP wing, and therefore their actions do not reflect the position of the organization.
The MUBAS DPP wing is standing firm in its support of the Democratic Progressive Party and its values, reaffirming their loyalty to the party despite the recent expulsion of Kondwani Nankhumwa.
The executive members of the wing are determined to uphold the principles of the DPP and distance themselves from any efforts to support Nankhumwa in his upcoming political endeavors.
As the controversy continues to swirl around MUBAS and the DPP, it is clear that the MUBAS DPP wing remains united and committed to their party.
The refutation of defection reports serves as a reminder of the importance of remaining true to one’s political beliefs and values, even in the face of adversity.
