LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The Area 30 outfit Blue Eagles football club welcomes their goal-stopper Brighton Munthali who was on loan to South Africa’s second tier side Black Leopards.

The Malawi international returns home following the expiry of his one-year long loan term with Leopards, Munthali has since started training with the Malawi Police Service sponsored side.

The club’s Chief Administration Officer Muhammad Ali has confirmed that the player is set to play for his club following his return from the Rainbow nation.

“Brighton has returned to his parent club after a one-year loan at Leopards. Despite interests from other clubs for the services of the shot-stopper, the player has accepted to play for his home team and help it return to the elite league”,

“Indeed other teams approached us for the services of our star but after a thorough discussion. We have decided to keep him. He is an experienced player and his return will usually help us in our elite league return campaign”, explains Ali.

Other media outlets have been reporting that the 2022 TNM Super league Golden Glove winner turned down Kamuzu Barracks offer in the eleventh hour to join rookies Creck Sporting club who offered him a handsome package.

Blue Eagles relegated from the TNM Super League last season have started their new life in the Central region MK19.8 million Chipiku Stores Premier division league on high note recording five wins from five games in group B.
