From the scene villages are not far. The searching couldn’t take this long. Why searching from wrong point?

They heard an unusual engine sound.

Few moments later a loud bang.

Two things come to mind.

(a) Loud unusual sound because it was very close.

(b) Loud unusual sound because the engine had developed a fault.

The aircraft was facing the direction of Mzuzu.

Looking at the wreckage, Pilot attempted emergency landing.

The aircraft has not disintegrated into pieces suggesting it fell from low altitude, hence it’s quite important to view how the dead were found.

We may see them still fastened to their seats. That would imply others were possibly still alive. I need to emphasize this point: where aircraft has fallen, parts of the aircraft and human body parts are scattered. That’s not the case here.

I will be satisfied to be wrong.

If emergency landing was attempted, it implies technical fault. Bad weather would tell the captain to shoot up leaving the weather underneath.

Whatever happened, the flight recorder aka Blackbox must be analyzed. It will reveal everything.

The engine and wings broke off at an impact with the ground. If you look at the body of aircraft.

It is said: Rescuers are retrieving the bodies from the wreckage. That implies attempted emergency landing that failed due to bad terrain.

I’m only speaking but I leave it to your senses.
